A scan can return twenty anonymous devices. Saving the four you actually own turns that list into something readable, and switches on last-seen logging for them.
How it works

- It gets prioritySaved devices are pinned to the top of every scan, so you are not reading a list of strangers’ hardware to find your own.
- Location logging switches onFrom that point, every sighting is stamped onto the last-seen map.
- Remove anything you no longer ownSold the headphones? Delete the entry and the logging stops with it.

Two phones, three pairs of earbuds, a watch, a tag on the keys. Names make the difference between a list and a map of your stuff.
Telling identical devices apart
Two pairs of the same AirPods broadcast almost identical names. Saving them separately is the only reliable way to know which is which.

Common questions
How many devices can I save?
There is no practical limit for normal use. Each saved device adds a small amount of background work, so a realistic household set of five to fifteen is what the feature is built around.
Do I have to pair a device to save it?
No. Saving works from the broadcast signal alone, so you can save a device that is paired to a different phone entirely.
