Why it exists
Most lost objects are not lost. They are two metres away, inside something, and silent. The tools we already have are built for the other case, the device that has genuinely gone somewhere else, and they are not much use for the common one.
Find My Device₊ is built for the common one: read what is broadcasting nearby, follow the signal, and make the phone itself answerable when it is on silent.
What we will not claim
- That we can find a device that is switched off. Nothing can.
- That Bluetooth gives an exact distance in metres. It gives relative proximity, and that is enough if you use it properly.
- That this replaces Apple’s Find My. For anything that has left the building, Find My is better and we will keep saying so.
Privacy
There is no account, no server, and no analytics. The App Store privacy label for the app is Data Not Collected, which is a declaration to Apple rather than a marketing line.

Find My Device₊ is developed by Georgy Natsvlishvili and published on the App Store for iPhone, requiring iOS 17.0 or later.
